Oral health in pregnancy

The gestation is a period of great changes, including hormones and increasing blood flow. These changes increase the risk of tooth decay, bleeding gums or gingivitis.

You should visit the dentist at least once during pregnancy and after childbirth.

If you notes swollen gums and think you are moving your teeth, you should go to the dentist as soon as possible, as it can be a symptom of periodontal disease.
